There is an immense crowd at the betting rooms to-night. The business done is however principally on the Maribyrnocg Plate, for whioh it is probable there will be twenty* six siarters.
The latest betting for the Plate is— Narian, 5 to 1; Lima (named Dina), Bto 1 j Warwiok, 8 to 1 5 Lawrence, 8 10 1 ; Eingsdale, 12 to 1 ; Delusion, 14 to 1. The latest Darby betting is even on Navigator (taken) ; Sogenhoe, 4to 1; Guesswork, 7to 1 j Boolka, 10 to 1; Erjingpan, 12 to 1. The proboble starters for the Darby aTe:— Aide-de-Camp, Boolka, O&lma, King of th* Yale, Standard-Bearer, Gnesswork, fcegenhoe. Navigator, Transferred, Eryingpan. [SSECIAI TO I'EEBS ASSOCIATION.] Eeceived October 27th. 115 a.m. MELBUUKNE, October 28. Stookwell and Cunnamulla had a spin round the course today, and finished in grand Style. The Drummer, D&rebin, and King of the Yale also had a strong gallop; the former had all the best of it, and is fanoied a little. Transferred was sect a mile and a quarter and went in ezoellent style. Bting wsi stripped and did two miles, finishing well, and pleased his supporters. There ia no change in the betting for the Derby. Navigator, Segenhoe or G-uesiwork are expected to furnish the winner; the former for ohoioe.
