Further intelligence ia to hand regarding the effects of the cyclone which passed over Manilla yesterday, and fully confirms the previous statements. Sixty thousand people have been rendered homeless. Few, however, lost their lives.
Both Houses of Parliament met to-day for the extraordinary autumn session. In the House of Lords, Earl Granville gave notice that on Thursday next he would propose a vote of thanks to the army for its recent services in Egypt, and that he would subsequently move tho adjournment of the House until November.
