The “ Star ” to-night ha* tho following paragraph :—“The Otago Cricket Association have, we understand, received advice from Melbourne to the effect that Mr Hallifax was only empowered to receive offer* from the various towns in the colony for viai!* from the Hon, Ivo Bligh’s team, and this at his own suggestion. Sinai arrangements have, therefore, to be made with the Melbourne Cricket Club.
