[per pbeu association.] AUCKLAND, October 28, It is stated here that Judge Fenton retires at the end of the month, and will become agent for the London and New Zealand Native Land Company. HAVELOCK, October 26. Dr. Biley, of Havelock, died at Blenheim this morning. The town and the whole of the district is now without a medical man. DUNEDIN, October 26. At the City Court to day a Frenchman was charged with vagrancy. D appeared his only means of subsistence was picking up crumbs of bread thrown awey by school children. The Magistrate dismissed the case, saying no criminality was shown, and advised him to apply to the Benevolent Institution for assistance.
