[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] Received October 22ad, 3.40 p.m. LONDON, October 19, The official list of the awards at the Bordeaux Wine Exhibition shows that Victoria tabes nine first, fifteen second, and nine third prizes, together with five honorable mentions. New South Wales tabes five first, nine second, eleven third prizes, and two honorable mentions. South Australia, two first, four second, three third prizes, and five honorable mentions.

The British troops are now beginning to arrive from Egypt, and banquets are being organised in their honor at several places. Received October 22nd, 10.30 a.m. Tenders* for the Auckland Harbor Board £150,000 5 per cent, loan were opened to-day. The total amount offered is £345,500, tenders ranging from £IOO to £lO3, the average being £lOl 12a 2d. Tenders at £lOl 10s 6d and upwards will receive in full, and those at £lOl 10a will receive 75 per cent. Consols remain at 101-J-. Bank rate remains at 5, and market rate at 31 per cent. The Bank reserve stands at £10,300,000, or £300,000 more than last week. New Zealand securities remain at last quotations, viz., Five per Cent. 10-40 Loan, 1051; Five per Cent. 1889 Loan, 107; Four and Half per Cent. 18791904 Loan, 101 J. Colonial broadstuffa are firm, at 495, for Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, and 4 3 s’to 46a for New Zealand do. Adelaide flour, 345, ex warehouse. Australian tallow quiet, at 44s 6d for best beef, and 47s for best mutton. Received October 23rd, 0.15 a.m. October 20. The homeward mails via San Francisco, which left Auckland on September 12th, were delivered here to-day, three days in advance of the contract time. Consols advanced and are quoted to-day at 101 j. The market for colonial breadstnffs is unchanged. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain has decreased by 500,000 quarters daring the week,and is now 1,830,000 quarters. Australian tallow has declined Is per cwt.; best beef is now worth 43s 6d, and best mutton 465. ALEXANDRIA, October 19. A scheme for the organisation of the Egyptian army, which has been drawn oat by Baker Pasha, has been finally approved of by the Egyptian Government. It has now been agreed by the Egyptian Government that Arabi and his associates shall be allowed the services of English counsel on their trial, which will be accordingly forthwith commenced. Received October 22nd, 5.30 p.m. October 20. English counsel engaged to defend Arabi on his trial have visited him in prison at Cairo for the purpose of preparing his defence, [“Argus ” Special, per United Press Association.] Received October 22nd, 6.5 p.m. October 20, 6.5 p.m. The American branch of the Land Leaguers approve of the programme recently considered by the Irish Conference.
