THE ARREST OF HEMPTON.

The following additional particulars are furnished by our correspondent in the Malvern district: —

Constable G. Oartmill had been scouring the district in search of Hemptoh for two days, but until Friday afternoon could learn nothing of hi* whereabouts, He then at Kirwee obtained information which led him to believe that Hempton was in the vicinity of Springfield, and riding at onoe to the latter township he met and .arrested his man, who it appears was looking for work in the bueh about eight miles from Springfield. He came over from Oxford on Wednesday, and was assisted part of the distance by a resident giving him a ride in his waggon. General satisfaction is expressed throughout the district at the intelligent manner in which the officer traced the man and effected his arrest.
