Received October 13th, 2.10 pm. MELBOURNE, Octobar 13. Arrived —Steamship Ringarooma, from Bluff, this morning.
Allander, The Czar, Eriihoneus, Eva, Jim Tyson, Kohiuoor, Scandal, and Savonara have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. There are thirty-two acceptors for the Caulfield Cap to be ran for to-morrow.
Captain Morys and Lieut. Darwin, son of the deceased naturalist, leave here tomorrow for Queensland to make arrangements for observing the transit of Venus. Captain Tupman, who is expected to arrive shortly, is going to Now Zealand for a similar purpose.
