The following acceptances and entries were received by the Wanganui Jockey Club for the Spring Meeting : Wanganui Stakbs r-inoarity, Larry, Tally-ho, Hiuemoa, Blue Gown, &t. Clair, Gem, Fisherwoman, Minerva. Handicap Hurdles —New Tear, Pardoll Gate Totara), Mount, Larry, Dianthua, Ngatu, Fungus, Claggan. Maiden Plate— Hippodamia, Sweet Home, Landseer, Portrait, Last Chance, Torpedo, Daphne, Eingleader. Railway Plate— Hippodamia, Fisherwoman, Sincerity, Camelia. The following entries and acceptances for the trotting events have been received : Maiden Trotting Bass- Rambler, Speculation, Castaway, Waikato Jack, Dan. Trial Stakes —The Rambler, Maud, Staffordshire Lass, Solicitor, Don. Harness Bacb, one mile heats—Rambler, Castaway, Wakatu. Heat in Saddle, 3 miles—Rambler, Speculation, Jack, Castaway, Wakatn.
WELLINGTON RACING CLUB,

At a meeting of the Wellington Racing Club to-night the question of constructing a. railway line on to the course cropped up, and it was ultimately decided that a deputation of stewards should wait on the Minister of Public Works on the enbjaot. With regard to the programme for the summer meeting it wee decided to do away with the Maiden Plato of £SO, and to have a selling race of £6O in its stead. The Consolation Race was reduced by £lO, and the Hntt Park Stakes wore increased from £IOO to £125. The second bone to receive £2O, and the third £5, from the stakes. The meeting will be held on the first Thursday and Friday in February, It was resolved that the stewards should act as handioappers. The nominations for the Oup will close on the 6th of November, but the date of the other entries will be settled to-morrow. At tho aext meeting a motion will be proposed to remove the disqualification of Ray and the horse Mata. The following is the programme for the Summer Meeting First day—Flying Stakes, £75 ; Hurdle Handicap, £6O ; Hack Hurdle, £ls ; Wellington Cup, £SOO ; Hack Baoe, £10; Selling Race, £6O. Second day —Railway Stakes Handicap, £6O ; Hntt Park Stakes Handicap, £125; Hurdle Handicap, £75; Wellington Racing Club Handicap, £200; Hack Race, £10; Consolation, £4O. It was decided that the winner of the Selling Race should be sold for £2OO, any surplus to go to club.
