NEW ZEALAND.
DUNEDIN, October 11. Mr James Mills, the well known gunsmith, and a leading member of the Masonic fraternity, died yesterday. The Burns statue committee have given an order to Sir John Steel. The pedestal is to be of grey granite, and the basement of Port Chalmers blnestone. Seven members of the M Battery of Artillery (Queens‘own) and eight from the Arrow B ties have entered with the local secretary for the New Zealand Biff a Association meeting. The Union Steamship Company have given a cup of the value of thirty guineas to be fired for. The trophy was purchased by Mr Mills vhen in Eng!aal Iste'y.
