Earl Spencer, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, is visiting England. The French wheat harvest is one hundred and sixteen million hectolitres. A number of the Indian forces which have been in Egypt are to receive medals from the Queen personally. '["Aob" Special, per United Pres 3 Association.] Received October 3rd, 11.58 a.m. LONDON, October 2nd, 6.16 a.m. Lieutenant-General Sir John Adye, K.C.8., the chief of the staff in Egypt, and second in command to Sir Garnet Wolseley, is to return Home immediately, in order to advise the Government as to the steps necessary to be taken in regard to the occupation of Egypt and the preservation of peace. Prior to embarkation, the Indian troops are to be inspected by H.R.BZ. the Duke of Connaught. c-.
