SALE OF STUD HOUSES.
The annual sale of stud horses by Messrs Matson and Co., following the horse parade, commenced at Tattorsali’s at two o’clock, in the presence of a large number of bidders, and resulted as followsClydesdales— Young Vanquisher, on account of Messrs Fleming and Headley, sold for 220g* to Mr L. White, Bakaia ; Prince Boyal, on account of Mr D. Maogregor, for 170gj, to Mr A. Yates ; Cheviot Hills, on account of Messrs Heywood and 00., for shipment to Sydney, to Mr Twentyman Hodgson ; Boyal Prince, on account of Mr John Boag, for shipment to Sydney, to Mr Twentyman Hodgson. Thoroughbred horses—These were all withdrawn at the following prices :—Marmion, on account of Mr Wm. Holly, at 300 gs; Corinthian, on account of Mr H. Cassidy, at 75ga ; Young Producer, on account of Mr F. W. Delamain, at 140 gs j Commodore, on account of Mr Wm. Gabbie, at 230 gs; Free Lance, on account of Mr F. W. Delamain, at 375g5. Three ponies were offered, bat not sold.
