[“Aeoxjs ” Special, per United Press Association.] Received Sept. 29 th, 1 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 28. 6.55 a.m. Chief Justice Gorrie, of Fiji, has been nominated to the position of Chief Justice of the Leeward Islands. Smallpox has appeared amongst Sir Hercules Robinson’s household at Capo Town, and the very streets of the city are deserted. Sir Evelyn Wood is suffering severely from continued diarrhoea, and Sir Garnet Wolseloy from exposure to the sun. The Austrian Legislature has voted 700,000 florins for the relief of the sufferers by the recent floods. There are serious complaints regarding the inefficiency of the hospital service during the recent campaign in Egypt.
