There is every prospect that at the forthcoming North Canterbury race meeting, to bo hold on October 26th, there will be a groat deal of interest shown in the several events, as a number of horses are said to be proposed for entrance in the same. Qualifications and nominations for the Open and District Hurdle Esoe, the trot, North Canterbury Oup and Publicans’ Puis Handicaps are to bo in before 8 p.m. on Tuesday next. The course is being put in good order, and tba erection of a grand stax:d by the Bangiora Domaiq Board is being proceeded with as expeditiously as possible.
