CRICKET.
Tha annual general meeting of tl*e mombere of the Bnngiora Oricket Olub was held at the Junotion Hotel, Bangiora, on Monday evening. There was a very fair attendance. Mr W. A. Bart, vioe-preii-dent of the olub, in the ohair. The secretary, Mr B. B. Good, resd the annual report of the oommittee, which stated that lait year eight matches were played, of which seven were won, and only ono loit. This success was attributed to the bowling of the team, which was said to be better than usual. The finances of the club were reported to be in a satisfactory state, there being- a balance in hand of £4 after payii g all outstanding accounts. The club was greatly assisted by the proceeds of a concert which wag given during the season, and realised a good sum. Although the club fees loßt a few of its active members, yet the oommittee do not anticipate any difficulty in getting together a fair country eleven. The ground has been attended to during the winter, and a very fair pitoh will be available for matches. A quantity of new material will be necessary as soon as play commenoes. The balance sheet showed the rer.nipts for the year to have bsen £32 5s 2 3 ; expenditure, £24 13a 9d ; balance in hand, £7llesd; assets, £46 Its 5d ; liabilities, £5 lis. The report and statement of accounts were received and adopted. The following gentlemen were then elected members of the olub, viz., Messrs T. H. Mntu, F. Hodgson, O. Hodgeoa, B. Evans, and C. Stubbs. It was decided to pay the subscription due to the Ashley County Olub. The following were then elected officers for the ensuing year:—President, Mr W. Boss; vice-president, Mr W. A. Burt; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr H. B. Good (all reelected) ; managing committee, Messrs H. E. Goodeve, W. J. Bourke, O. d'Auvergne, H J. Gulliver, Geo. Buokham, and D. Stewart. After some discussion aa to the advisability of electing a oaptain on the ground previous to each matoh, Mr 0. d'Auvergne was elected oaptain of the club for the season. Messrs Burt, Good, and c'Aavergne were appointed a selection and ground committee for the year. Mr W. Bourke was elected custodian of the material. The ground committee was instructed to enquire as to the cost of a force pump for use on the ground. It was resolved that the requisite material be procured, and Messrs d'Auvergne and Good were appointed to select the same. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, the 23rd, when an all-comers match, is to be played, commencing at one o'clock. The secretary was instructed to arrange matohes with the clubs in the neighboring districts. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a cricket club at Fendalton , was held on the 18th instant in the district , sohoolroom. There was a very fair attendance. Mr M. Jackson was voted to the chair. Mr P. S. Bichards was eleoted treasurer, and Mr W. Seager seoretary. After sundry business was transacted the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
