THE INTERCOLONIAL FOOTBALL MATCH.
The Sydney team were down at the Lancaster Park ground this morning for a little practice. A good deal of drop-kicking and place-kiokicg eventuated, but nothing in the way of dribbling or running was gone in for, our visitors wisely reserving their strength until to-marrow. The exact position the New South Wales men will respectively occupy in the field haa not yet been exactly decided on by their captain, who will make final arrangements this evening. We, however, give the names of the fifteen, with the emergency man, en masse. They are Messrs Bayliss, Graham, Walker, Howard, Thallon Hawkins, Flynn, Figg, Mann, Raper, Addisor, Barry, Richmond, Jennings, McOlatohie, and Hill. At a meeting of the selection committee of the OR 17., held last night at the Commercial Hotel, Mr O'Donnell was chosen as the representative of Canterbury, together with Mr Waohsman, to supply the place of Belmore and Potts, who are unable to play. Mr W, Y. Millton was chosen oaptain of the Canterbury team. The following, therefore, form the Canterbury team :—Pull back, W. £. Lesoh ; half backs, H. Farr and H. Lee ; quarter baoks, W. J. Cotterill, A. Anderson and J. D. Hall; forwards, W. T. Millton (oaptain), L. Lane, H. Fenwick, O'Donnell, J. D. Winsloe, R, D. Harman, R. Blanchard, F. Hyman and J. F. Waohsman. It may be ei well to state that the proceeds of the gate money accruing to the Sydney team, after defraying expenses, will be devoted to the Sydney Rugby Union in aid of the expense of the visit of a New Zealand team to Sydney. The matoh, as already stated, will be played to-morrow on Lancaster Park.
