ADDINGTON CRICKET CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the above olub was held in the schoolroom, Addington, last evening ; Mr R. H. Turner in the ohair. Mr T. Burley read the report and balancesheet, and in his remarks commented on the general prosperity of the olub since it started, and mentioned that the olub won every matoh they played last year. The ground was in good order, and a cutting machine was now on its way out, which would oost £32. The balance-sheet showed a deficit of £8 odd, whioh had been expended by Mr Hopper, but whioh that gentleman now gave as a donation, The following offioers were eleoted for the erißuipg year : President, Mr W. White, M.H.R. ; vioe-presidents, Mr B. H. Turner and Mr J. Booth ; seoretary, Mr T. Burley ; treasurer, Mr 8. MoMurray ; captain, J. Hopper; general committee, W. O/iier, J. Wheatley aad Hooper j ground oommittee, Messrs W. Ashby, O. Taylor, and H. B. Simpson; auditors, A. Ashby and J. Parker. It was determined that the colors of the olub should .be blaok and white. The question of taking part in the Association oup matohes was then disousied at some length, when the following resolution was passed —"The Addington CO. in disouesing the question of cup matches, express their regret at the action taken by the Association in refusing to 'allow handicapping, aa it will no doubt debar junior olubs from competing who would otherwise have done so. Still, for the interest of erioket generally, thry would be prepared to compete in the same, providing it can be done without affiliating with the Association." After some other general business, and a vote of thanks to the chair, the meeting terminated.
