LONDON, September 6.
The cricket match at Nottingham between the Australians and County Eleven was resumed to-day, in the presence of a large number of spectators. The Australians continued their second innings, which closed for a total of 212. The following were the highest scores:— Murdoch, c, 36; McDonnell, c, 63; Bonnar, c, 20. The Home team, requiring 233 runs to win, went in for their second innings, but only succeeded in putting together 48, and the Australians thus won the match by 185 runs. The bowling of the Australians was dead on the wicket, and their fielding was excellent. Owing to rain which fell yesterday and during the night, the wicket was not in good order.
