MUNICIPAL NOMINATIONS.

CHRISTCHURCH. The following nominations were received to-day for the vacancies in the City Council: —South-east ward, Mr A- Ayers; South-west ward, Mr D. Reese ; North-east ward, Mr W. Brice; North-west ward, Messrs H. Atkinson, W. J. Grand, and W. Prudhoo. Messrs Ayers, Brice, and Beese have been declared elected for the South-east, Northeast, and South-west wards. The polling for the election of one councillor for the Northwest ward will take place on Monday, September 14th. ST. ALBANS. The following were nominated to day for the vacancies in the St. Albans Borough Council, viz :—Messrs G. Dickenson, O. Green, John T. Matson, A. Moore, F. J. Smith, W. S. Smith and O, W. Turner. A poll for the election of three from the above number will be taken on the 14th inat.
