[beutee’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, September 5.
At the Supreme Court to-day, the appeal case of the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand v. the Melbourne Harbor Trust for damages sustained by the steamer Rotorua through the fouling of the anchor of the dredge in October last was decided, and the judgment, which was reserved on the 20th June, being returned for defendants.
In the Legislative Council this evening the Licenses Qualifying Bill was read a third time and passed.
