[reuter’s telegrams.] BRISBANE, September 5. It is understood that the Government of Queensland have received a telegram from the Agent-General in London asking authority to grant free passages to Queensland to 400 dismissed Irish police constables.
MELBOURNE, September 5. Arrived this morning—P. and O. Company’s Indus, with Suez mail, which left London July 26 th. The steamship Wairarapa sails for New Zealand on Saturday next. Further charges have been laid against Burns, now under trial at Hamilton for murder.
