Consols hav» advanced to lOOfr. The Bank rats of discount remains at 4 per cent., and the market rate at 3g. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England remains at £11,125,000. New Zealand securities, Colonial breadstuffs, and tallow are without quotable change. At to-day's wool sale by auction 97,000 bales were offered. The tone of the sale was firm; 92,000 bales have been withdrawn from the sale since the opening of the series.

[" age " SPECIAL.] LONDON, September 1, 9.20 a.m. Baron do Lesseps has declined the proposed banquet in his honor, Spain and the Netherlands have been admitted to a share in the protectorate of the Suez Canal.
