[reuter’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, August 30.
Malting barley is dnll and unchanged, at 5s Id to 5s 3d. Shipping wheat has declined Id to 2d, and is now steady, but not in active demand, at 6s 9d to 7s. New Zealand, duty paid, is quoted at 4s to 4s 3d for feeding, and 4s 3d to 4s 5d for milling qualities. The market is inactive.

Sailed, this afternoon. Union Company’s steamer Wakatipu, for Wellington.
The Hon. Alexander Campbell has been appointed Postmaster-General, vice the Hon. O. Brown, resigned. ALBANY, August 38.
The P. and O. Company’s steamship Indus with the inward mails, via Snez and Brindisi, dated London, July 28th, arrived in King George’s Sound this afternoon.
