[“ AGE ” SPECIAL.] LONDON, August 25, 3.55 p.m. Terrible outrages continue to be committed on the Russian Jews, resident in Poland. The population everywhere treats them in the most barbarovs manner, and the tales are horrifying. The Russian officials are entirely apathetic, and the most terrible deeds are done with absolute impunity. No effort whatever is made to protect the victims, or to pnnish their robbers and murderers. Men, women, and children are mutilated, murdered, outraged, tortured, and their property taken and houses burned directly within the cognizance of both the military and civil authorities, who seem to tacitly approve of the dreadful deeds.
