Among the documents contained in it is a communication from Sir Arthur Gordon referring to the policy adopted by the Government in eonnection with the confiscated lands in Taranaki. Sir Arthur states that he considers that Te "Whlti and other Natives are entitled to land even where it may be situated within the boundary of the confiscated territory.
