Authentic information has been received that the rebels are still entrenched there in groat force. BOMBAY, Augnst 23. The last regiment of the Indian contingent for service in Egypt has now left this port. [“ AGE ” SPECIAL.] LONDON, August 22, 4.50 p.m. Cherif Pasha resumes his former policy. The Khedive controls the Council and the army. French opinion ia that England’s action in Egypt is justifiable at the Conference.
