The evidence showed that the utmost attention and kindness was given to deceased, who was left alone at his own request; and although the doctor, who saw the man on Sunday morning, had diagnosed his case correctly, there appeared no probability of a fatal termination. The post mortem examination found that death resulted from congestion of the lungs, but the liver was diseaied also, and the stomach and intestines congested. A verdict was given accordingly. DUNEDIN, August 10, The ship Lyttelton, bound to this port, passed the Bluff yesterday, all well* The schooner Sirocco, given up as lost, was captained by T. 8. Brown, her owner. She left Newcastle on May 28th.
