An anchor and chain, lost in thu wreck of tre schooner Aap&sia at Motonau, were picked np |r/ the steamer Akaroa, and were brought on here by that steamer on Saturday last. The Union Company's s s. Penguin, Cajtain Anderson, arrived at 6 a.m. on Saturday, from Northern ports, and left for Wellington at 9 p.m., taking the outgoing mail for the San Francisco steamer, which leaves Auckland Sa-morrow. Arrived—Edith Beid, from Stewart's Island; Ganymede, barque, from Newcastle; Endeavor, sohooner, from, Jfaipara. Dtjnedin, August la. Arrived—Ge-Ahsad, from Wellington; Wakatipo, from Wellington. , Sailed—Waimea, barque, Captain Canise, for London, with a full cargo and seven passengers. BLTTFT, Anguat 13.
