The easy victory of Liberator on Saturday in the fi.it raoo brought him into notice for the Hawkesbury Handioap, for which he rooeived a good deal of support at prices ranging from 100 to 5 to 100 to 8. Piracy alao rooeived attention at 100 to 5, 100 to 6, and 100 to 7, Kingsworth meeting with support at the last named price. Sting had plenty of friends at 100 to 5, and the earne price was accepted about Mulatto and Paul. For the Metropolitan ICD to 6 was booked about Oreawiok and Sardonyx, and Paul and Sting were backed at 100 to 5 each, 2000 to 100 being recorded against the latter. Segenhoe's name was mentioned in connexion with the V. 8.0. Derby, and 1000 to 200 was taken about him. Navigator was scarcely spoken of, but 1000 to 100, 500 to 60, and other wagers at similar odds, were takon in favor of Baasanio, and offers were made to go on at this price, which was accepted about Prometheus and S*ionara. Gudarz recsived somo support for the Melbourne Oup at 100 to 4 and we heard of 2000 to 60 having been' laid againßt Sting, while the Tasmanian party took 5000 to ICO that Hobart won. For the double, Darby and Oup, Saionara was backed to win over £20,000 at 1000 to 10.
