The arrangements which were in progress for taking over of Messrs Mort and Co.’s business by Messrs Goldsbrongh and Co., Limited, of Melbourne, have lapsed, the directors of Messrs Goldsbrongh and Go. having declined to give full powers of management to the Sydney directors.
New Zealand wheat has advanced to 5s 4d; New Zealand oats, to 3s sd; maize, per bushel, ss. Sugar Company’s No. 1 pieces, per ton, £35. ADELAIDE, August 11.
Wheat, per bushel, 7s; town flour, par ton, £ls; country brands, £l4. The freight market is dull, and little business is doing. Arrived Steamship Marsala, from London, Jane 15th.
