HOW NOT TO DO IT.

To the Editor of the Qlohe.

Sib. —The Park and Domain Board are a curious set of people. They have brought tho system ;of how not to do it to a singular perfection. The road scrapings are now being put into the Park just over the College bridge. Thrown over the sand they would prove very valuable in making it fertile, end in preventing what may be called the denudation of that spot. But the scrapings are put into some rich hollows with the view of making the place level, and the sand remains as before. This is done, I presume, with the sanction of the Board. The road men evidently merely want to save themselves trouble. They, too, are delighted that they ere allowed to show people in general that they understand perfectly how not to do it. Yours, &c., HAGLBY PARK. August 11th.
