[retjter's telegrams.] LONDON, August 4. Consols remain at par, and New Zealand securities at last quotations. The market rate of discount has advanced to 2£ per cent. The Bank rate stauds at 3. Adelaide wheat has declined to 51s, New Zealand ditto remains at 50s ex store, and Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, at 375. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,070,000 quarters, heing an increase of 50,000 quarters as compared with last week. Australian hides are in good demand at full prices. ["ARGTJS" SPECIAL] LONDON, August 3. Parnell and Dillon have joined the executive of the Laborers' League, and agitation is consequently expected. Heavy gales have been experienced on the coast of Scotland, and 200 Scotok fishing vessels are missing. August 4. The majority of the fishing smacks reported missing it is ascertained are safe. However, a large number hare been lost, and numerous fatalities are known to have occurred. Mr Trevelyan has promised to inquire into the alleged grievances of the police force.
