A MOOT QUESTION.

To the Editor of the Qlole. gm,—A raid was made by the police on a well known hotel in this district between the hours of 12 and I o’clock on a Sunday morning in the early part of last month, and, in police parlance, I believe they bad a very good case. I am a constant reader of the Globe, and generally find a portion of its columns given to the reporting of business of the K.M. Court, and police news; but this particular ease I have not seen reported. Whether it has been before the Court, or your reporter neglected to record the same, is past my ken, Jf toot reporter has not been lux, or the caie not yet brought forward, perbap* Sergeant Mason could throw some light on the subject ? Yours, &0., INQUIRES. August 7th, 1882.
