Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations): THURSDAY, AUGUST 3. For Capetown, per express (to connect at Timarn with the Jasper), specially addressed correspondence only, at 7 a.m. For Akaroa, per Won ska, at 940 a m.; late fee let to; s, 9.50 a.m.; guard’s van, 10 25 a m. train. FRIDAY. AUGUST 4. For New South Wales and Qnecnslond, per Hero, at 1.45 p m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p m. train. Noth. —After 29th July, mails for Akaroa by Pigeon Bay will close at 7 am. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and by Birdling’s Flat at 8 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Hails for Leßon’s Bay, Chain's Bay and Little Akaloa, will close at 7 a m. each Monday and Friday.
