COURSING.
YALDHUBST MEETING.
Toted Day. This meeting was concluded yesterday. A start was made on Mr Holmes' land, where five courses were run off, all of wbich were very good trials. A shift was then made to Mr Lane's, where the remaining courses were disposed of. On conclusion, cheers were given to the judge, slipper, and those gentlemen who had kindly placed their land at the disposal of the club. The managing committee are to be congratulated on the successful termination cf the meeting. The following is the acoount of yesterday's running : ALT. AOBD STAKES. First lies (continued). Loughsheilan Witch beat Security Final. Mr J. VTiln'B r d Bridegroom, by Yaldhnrst— Honeymoon, beat Mr Franks' f a Lonfrhsheilan. Witch by Pickles—Fly, and won MAIDEN rUPTT. Second Ties. Nancy Lee beat Balgal Box beat Don Pedro Final. Mr Bailey's wb s Nancy Lee. by Sweep— Cleo, beat Mr Mc iaa's r d Box, by .Richmond, and won SAPLING STAKES. First Ties. Waikiri beat Wainni Alchemist beat Falcon Final. Messrs Hale and Judge's f w d Alchemist by Borgia—Papanni, beat Messrs Wagner Bros* w f b Waikiri, by Sweep— Kubina, anil won. All-Aged Stake—Loughsheil&n Witch was too fast for Security, leading from the slips, and made some fast work, winning with ease. For the final course Bridegroem led the Witch, and got very busy, piling up a big score, but the bitch getting in a good give and take course ensued, the verdict being far Bridegroom. Maiden Puppy Stakes—Rancy led Balgal, and had ail uer own way, winning with ease. Box had no difficulty in disposing of Don Pedro. A very good trial took place for the final, Bc-x showing superior speed ia the run. up, a very even trial being won by Nancy, which secured the stake. Sapling Stake Wainui led up, and scented first turn, but, dying away, let in Waikiri, arser Which the course wa3 never In doable Alchemist showed Falcon his heels, and kept possession, doing all the work, and won. This fine sapling led up for the final by some lengths, Waikiri having a poor show with him, as he ran remarkably well, and won the stake in a mest creditable manner. PAPANDI OLDB.
