[renter's telegrams.] MELBOURNE, July 27. A destructive fire occurred to-day at Messrs Capper's -vinegar works, Fitzroy. The damage is estimated at £13,000. The intercolonial ploughing contest was concluded to-day. The first prizes in all classes have been awarded by the judges to Victorian representatives. Arrived this morning—The Union Company's steamship Rotorua, from the Bluff. Sailed this morning—The steamship Hero, for the Bluff.
