A resolution was passed, urging the member for the disfctiofc to get the omission repaired by tho placing a vote for the same on the supplementary estimates, and In the event of the Government refusing to acoade to this that the representative be required to withhold support from the Government. It could have been here by C o'olock last evening bat for the action of tho landing officers at New Plymouth, who detained the steamer there six hours, beoause they would not tak9 the trouble to go off and bring the mailß ashore, otherwise tho mails could have been in Ohristohuroh this morr.ing and Dunedin this evening, instead of a day late. The mail agent has complained formally to the Government of the delay.
