AUSTRALIAN. [eEUTEE'S TELEGBAM6.] SYDNEY, Jnly 14. Messrs Mort and Co.'s annual sale of stud sheep was concluded to-day. The attendance at the auction has been large, and keen competition was experienced for the various lots offered. The bidding throughout was spirited. 951 sheep have been sold, realising a total of £2025. New Zealand wheat, 5s Id; New Zealand oats, 3s 6d; maize, 5s Id. Sugar Company's No 1 pieces, £35. The firm of Messrs Mort and Co., wosl brokers and stock and station agents, has been amalgamated with that of Messrs Goldsborough and Co. The present partners in the former firm will continue the active management of the combined company, and will retain a large interest as shareholders. Tenders are now invited by the company for the erection of warehouses on a large scale near Darling Harbor, providing storage capacity for 50,000 bales of wool.

The branch of the Australasian Joint Stock Bank at Grafton was stuck up to-day by a bushranger, who, after gagging the accountant, carried off notes and gold to the value of £2900. Tho robber is still at large. The Hon. John Lucas, M.L.C., who was plaintiff in a recent action against the Government for compensation for land taken at Darling Harbor, has resigned his appointment as trustee of the National Park at Port Hacking, and his resignation has been accepted by the Government. ADELAIDE, Jnly 14. Wheat is quoted at 6s. The is a fair demand for town flour, which ia unchanged at £l4 per ton ; country brands, £l3. Freights are dull, and without change.
