CORN EXCHANGE. Report for the week ending Friday evening, the 7 th inst : There is no change to report in the state of the market, values in nearly all lines of produce being unaltered, the past week being but a repetition of the foregoing. Wheat-Good milling quality in shipping lines is worth from 4s lOd to 5s per bushel f.o.b. ; second quality, 4s 3d to 4s 6d ; chick wheat 3a 3d to 4s per bushel. Oats—The market is hardly so firm. There appears to be a disinclination on the part of buyers to increase their stocks, at the same time orders from outside would not be f scented except at full rates. Milling sorts may be onotod at from 3a 3d to 3a 4d; feed samples, 3s Id to 3s 3d; seed, 3a 9d to 3a lOd per bushel. , .... . Barley—Prime malting samples are still in (rood demand at from 4s 6d to 4s 7d per bushel; feed quality, 3; 3d to 3s 6d per bushel. Beans and Peas—The former are worth from 4s 3d to 4s 4d pet bushel f.0.b., the latter from 3s 9d to 5s per bushel. . _ ■ , Grass Seed—A few inquiries are being made, which will eventually lead to business, meantime. however, little or no actual business is being done, nominal quotations 5s to 5s 6d per bushel for first-class samples. . Potatoes—Little or no business is being transacted ; nominal quotations 35s to 37s 6d per ton at country stations within ten miles of Christchurch. . ~ , Cheese and Butter—The former is worth 6Jd to 7d ptr lb, the Utter is Id to Is 2d per lb.
