ENGLISH «fe_EOSBIGN. [eetitee’s teleoeams.] LONDON, July 6. Mr Gladstone, in reply to a question put to him in the House of Commons today, stated that the. Government did not intend to propose a war credit at present, as existing facts did not justify sueh a request. Arrangements have now been completed by the French and British Governments for despatching an allied army to Egypt. The first corps is to consist of 25,000 men, and of this number England contributes 15,000. Consols remain at 99-£, and Now Zealand securities at the following quotations : —Five per Cent. 10-40 Loan, 106; Five per Cent. 1889 Loan, 106 ; Four and a Half per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan, 102. The Bank rate of discount is unchanged at 3 per cent., and the market rate at 2£. The police have arrested a laborer named Carey on the charge of murdering the late Dr, Kenny in Dublin, on the 4th inst.
