[beom otjb cobrbspondhnt.J KAIAPOI, July 5. There is another vessel ashore. Tho Hnon Belle, owned by Messrs Guthrie and Larnaoh, Keyes, master, and laden with 23,130 ft of timber for Mr J. Sims, ashore with last night’s tide while entering the Waimakiri. The vessel first canted towards the North Spit, and then went over to the South Spit above the wreck of the Jessie. The Belle is not consider d bo in a dangerous position as her head is off, and, should calm weather prevail, will be got off. Part of the cargo may have to bo thrown over. A strict official inquiry into the cause of this and previous disasters will now be asked for, as there is plenty of water on the bar, and no reason on that ground for so many vessels coming to grief. The Insurance companies have been seriously considering tho question of refusing insurances upon vessels to this port; therefore shippers and persons interested, it they have any desire to maintain the river trade, had better bestir themselves in the matter.
