The entries for the grand international champion ploughing contest, which takes place on the 26th and 27th inst., under the auspices of the National Agricultural Society of Victoria, wore published to-day. For the single furrow match (first prize £105) there are fifty-two entries, and for the double furrow match (£100) thirty entries. All the Australian colonies will be represented at the contest, including Now Zealand, from whence two entries have been received. SYDNEY, July 3. Mr Tighe, of Sydney, and Mr Dent, ex Mayor of Lambton, have been appointed arbitrators on behalf of the Barehole miners, and Mr Croudan, the colliery manager, and Mr Hall, merchant, Newcastle, arbitrators for the Australian Agricultural Company. BRISBANE, July 3. A destructive fire occurred at Ipswich last night. Four shops were completely gutted. The insurances include £SOO in the National (New Zealand).
