The Government has applied to the Supremo Court for an injunction to restrain the promoters of tho Channel tunnel scheme from proceeding farther with the work of construction. The homeward Australian and New Zealand mails via San Francisco, which left Auckland May 23rd, were delivered here on the 30th June. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Groat Britain is 2,030,000 qrs. Arrived—Ship Loch TJrr from Lyttelton, March 3rd; Lurline from Lyttelton, March 25th ; Rising Star from Wellington, June 7 th; Coromandel from Napier, March 6 th.
