MYSTERIOUS WRECKAGE.
Captain Sinclair, ketch Courier, report* neeing, between Motonau and Stonoyhurst, on the beach, on the 22ad June, a rudder of a vessel, about three or four tone, and *ome •planks. A piece of board, with the letters ‘‘N.Z.S. Co.” upon it. Mr H J. Hall, at the Motonau station, also *ent information to the game effect. The last-named gentleman further reported that some tallow in casks had come ashore, and ho purposed sending it up in the Courier, but Captain Sinclair could not well get round to where it was lying with hia veasel. None of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s own ships have left this port lately. The Qareloch and the Brilliant •wore the last the company despatched for Ijondon that had tallow on hoard, and neither of these vessels would, as they were chartered •hips, be likely to have a boat bearing N.Z.B.C. upon it.
