ENGLISH & FOREIGN. [eeutek’a telegrams.] LONDON, June 23. In the House o£ Commons last night the Irish Repression Bill was again under consideration in committee of the whole. In the course of the sitting an amendment, proposed on behalf of the Liberals, making the danse in regard to alienn applicable to Great Britain as well as Ireland, was, after soma discussion, agreed to. In reply to an enquiry put to him las* night, Mr Gladstone stated that the question of the control of the Suez Canal would not be considered by the conference of ambassadors at Stamboul. Consols have further declined to 99 ex dividend. New Zealand securities remain at yesterday’s quotations. Adelaide wheat is unchanged at 51s, ex store, and New Zealand ditto, at 50s. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,200,000 quarters, being an increase of 180,000 quarters, as compared with last week. Australian tallow, best beef, has declined Is 6d per cwt., and is now quoted at 42s per cwt. Best mutton has fallen Is per cwt. At to-day’s wool sales the biddings were steady, but the demand was not active. The catalogue comprised 850 bales.
