The Customs duties collected at Christ ihnroh an Wednesday, Jane 21st, were as follows: Spirits, .£321 19a 7d ; tobacco. .£37 2s ; wine, jB4l 10a ; beer, £S 2s ; sugar, -C45 17s 3d ; tea, .£45 ; goods by weight, £9 19s 6d; ad valorem, jEIO 2s. Total, j652J lie 7d. ~QBAIN AND PEODUCE. A quiet week has been experienced in the grain market, and beyend one or two secondhand transactions in wheat, embracing several thousand sacks for immediate shipment, there is nothing of interest to report. The wheat above referred to is supposed to have changed bands at ss. A few small farmers’ lots have been on offer at is 9d to 4a lOd, f.0.b., at which figures buyers were found. Flour is in steady trade demand at J 6 L 1 10a per ton. f.o.b. The incoming mail steamer from San Franoiaco_ is understood to bavo 600 tons of this article for Sydaey. Oats continue to move in small lota at 3s to 3a 2d according to quality. The demand is limited, and 1 .test Australian advices do not indicate any immediate improvement. Good malting barley is still inqnircd for, but very little is offering, and is readily disposed of at 4s 6d. Medium and ordinary samples are more abundant, bat somewhat difficult to place. A small business baa been done in beans at 4s. Potatoes appear as tboagb they were almost all out of producers’ hands, as very few have bean offering Sellers ore seeking 37s 6d to 40a, but buyers’ ideas are rat&er loss. Butter oontinnea in good demand at Is, and cheese has farther improved, and is now quoted at &£d to 7d. New cure hams and bacon are in fair trade request at 7Jd per lb.
