Negotiations between the Government and Opposition, with a view to a compromise in the present crisis, continue. There are hopeful signs of an amicable settlement being arrived at, but at the same time mnch uncertainty prevails as to the result. Sir John O’Shannassy has announced his intention of opposing Mr Francis’ motion.
