COURSING.

EXHIBITION MEETING. This meeting was concluded yesterday. The day was all that could be desired, and the hares in the after part of the day were pretty plentiful. The winner of the big win turned up unexpectedly in Mr H. McConnell’s Flying Scud, who ran every inch a greyhound. She was bred by Mr R. Smith, and trained by Mr J. Forward, and the condition she was brought out was a credit to him. Mr G. G. Stead’s Ruisley won the Puppy Stakes, and ran a good dog. Russley was also trained by J, Forward, and like Bridegroom, the runner up, was by Yaldhurst—Honeymoon. Mr O. R. Wise and Mr J. Turner as judge and slipper did their work well. The following is the account of yesterday’s courses:— exhibition stakes. First Ties. Flying Scud beat Security Bessie Bell bent Cineraria Azalea beat Flora Molvor Miranda beat Richmond Second Ties. Flying Scud beat bessie Bell Azalea beat Miranda Final. Mr H. McConnell’s bk a Flying Scud, by Sweep —Clio, beat Mr J. McDonald’s bd a Azalea, by Totara—Gyp, and won. MAIDEN PUPPY STAKE, First Ties. Colleen Bawn beat Bordeaux Russley beat Luoretia Bridegroom beat Christopher Columbus Second Ties. Bridegroom beat Colleen Bawn Russley ran a bye. Final. Mr G. Q. Stead’s w r d Russley, by Taldhurst —Honeymoon beat Mr R. J. Mason’s Bridegroom, by 1 aldhurst—Honeymoon and won.
