FRIENDLY SOCIETIES' TORCHLIGHT PROCESSION.

The various orders of Friondly Sociatias who intend taking part in the monster torchlight procession to-morrow (Thursday) evening, will muster in Latimer squara at seven o'clock p.m., when the procession will be formed as under : Artillery Band Druids Protestant Allianoe Lyttelton Band Oddfellows (Manchester Unity) Foresters Hibernian Band Hibernians Oddfellows (American Constitution) In this order the procession will pass from Latimer square, alonfj Gloucester street, Colombo street (through Cathedral square), Cartel street, and .Oxford Terrace, to the Exhibition Building. The torohbearers will then fall out right and left, keeping the route o£ the procession, whioh will then enter the building. A magni-

f ficont display of fireworks will take place in ono of the enclosed spaces within the build" ing whioh abut on the Pioture Gallery and concert room. At eight o'clock a grand concert is announced, the programme or which oomprisos eighteen number*. Selection* will be rendered by the ArLillery and Austrian Bands, and Miss Amy Horton has also consented to sing, in addition to which a host of local talent will assist. At half-past ten o'clook a grand ball will follow. As the objeot is a good one—the prooeeds going to the United Friendly Societies' Dispensary Fund—and it is also a the late train night north, a full attendance is almost certain. The Mayor and oounoillors of St. Albans have accorded their patronage.
