HOKITIKA, Jane 12.

An old woman, aged sixty nine, named ' Noble, committed suicide on Sunday in her daughter's bouse, by hanging herself with a rope tied to a nail in her bedroom. The inquest was held to-day, and a verdiot o£ "Suicide under temporary insanity" wat returned. Her son in-law, Kohloff, and his wife testified that they found her hanging by the neck with her feet just barely touching the ground. Her husband is in Auckland, and they have been separated for fourteen veai-s. She had threatened suicide several times, and often complained of being separated from her husband.
