The ferry steamer Fanlight, 15 tone, ran into and sunk the steamer Osprey, 32 tone, off Fort Macquarrie in the harbor to-day. The crow of the Osprey were all saved. Mr Grighen, manager of the Agricultural Company’s Colliery at Newcastle, has agreed to accept a proposal that, arbitrators should be appointed to effect a settlement of the miners’ strike.
